Founded in 1961, Oregon Memorial Association (OMA) is one of the oldest organizations of its kind in the United States. OMA has helped thousands of families make end-of-life planning tools accessible and final arrangements affordable. In 2019 OMA and FCEF combined as OMA, retaining the tax-deductible status of FCEF.
OMA benefits from a deeply engaged volunteer Board of Directors, a dedicated community of member-volunteers and a part-time staff person. Our one-time member fees are very low and we've kept them that way to insure that anyone who wants to join us can. We are committed to supporting members and non-members alike with end-of-life planning and to expanding our educational initiatives, but we need your help to do it! There are many ways to support OMA! Here you'll find information on how you can donate. If you're interested in volunteering, please see our Volunteer page. Donate Stock Shares should be transferred in kind and are not to be liquidated. Tax law still allows you to use your Individual Retirement Account to support charities like OMA, while bypassing your gross income. It is even better than a charitable donation! Contact your IRA manager today and request a distribution be made by December 31 to Oregon Memorial Association, IRS Federal Tax ID No. 27-3092448. Be sure to ask that your gift be identified with your name, address and intention to use it as a IRA QCD. Legacy Giving Remember OMA in your end-of-life planning! You can make a provision in your will or living trust for OMA to receive a portion of your estate. Bottle Drop Program OMA now participates in the Oregon Bottle Drop program. You are now able to donate your bottle deposit dollars directly to OMA. Learn more about the program and how to sign up! |
