The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Funeral Rule went into effect on April 30, 1984. The Funeral Rule requires funeral providers to give consumers accurate, itemized price information and various other disclosures about funeral goods and services. This document was created to help funeral providers comply with the Funeral Rule and can offer funeral consumers a thorough look at what funeral providers are required to do.
